A social phenomenon that redraws the borders, rewrites the history, resizes the future… A social phenomenon that turns the life, stifles the hope, undermines the trust… A social phenomenon that generates terror, bewilderment, alienation, aberration…!

And this is why we have founded International Organizations which aim at maintaining peace and security in the World… International Organizations which aim at building exchanges and relations among Nations… International Organizations which aim at promoting well-being and wealth of Peoples…!

And this is why literature, cinema, theater, and many other forms of communication deal with the events that have shaped the World as we know it today…, in order to expose the horrors of War and imagine a Society in which they will never have to be lived again!

And this is why the War is being studied, analyzed, interpreted…, so as to identify the mistakes of the past and prevent them from being committed in the future!

And this is why the War is being demonized, condemned, repudiated… “as an instrument of aggression against the freedom of other peoples and as a means for the settlement of international disputes”!

Nevertheless, the World continues to be the theater of numerous ongoing wars… Bloody, fratricidal, devastating wars… Wars with no winner yet, but full of blood, pain, and despair…!

And this is why we talk about it, we discuss about it, we write about it..!

So that the thirst for power, for supremacy, for authority… leaves room for freedom, security, peace…!

So that the War becomes an abstract, outdated, unknown concept… A concept relegated to dictionaries as an obsolete term… A concept relegated to something belonging to the past… A concept relegated to history that once was and that will never have to happen again…!

So that the efforts of individual Nations focus on the goal of spreading prosperity in the World…!

So that the respect for diversity becomes an inalienable and inviolable principle…!

So that all Peoples can live in a better World…!
